The National Environmental Tribunal on 8th May postponed the Lamu coal case saying the judgement is not ready yet and that there are still pending issues which will come on the 24th of June 2019.
Speaking during the proceedings at the Reinsurance plaza in Nairobi, the Chairman of the tribunal Mohammed Balala said that they needed more time to deliver the judgement on the Lamu coal case
However members from Save Lamu who attended the proceedings all the way from Lamu were disappointed following the postponement of the verdict.
